Real estate attorney Alice Noman

PRACTICE AREAS

Alice Noman works with clients on commercial real estate transactions including leases, ground leases, and purchase and sale transactions.

Alice Noman is an associate in Pacifica’s Real Estate Practice Group. She works with public and private clients in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including sophisticated commercial leases and subleases for office, industrial and life science properties. Her work for public clients includes commercial leases, ground leases, and purchase and sale transactions.

A former King County public defender and Tenant attorney with the Legal Action Center, Alice’s real estate practice is informed by her litigation background as well as her time as a tenant attorney.

In her five years as a public defender, Alice represented hundreds of clients with misdemeanors, felonies, juvenile cases, appellate matters, and civil contempt cases. She argued two misdemeanor appellate cases in King County Superior Court and was successful in overturning a criminal conviction. Alice served as lead counsel on a majority of her cases through all stages of litigation, including investigation, pre-trial, negotiations, motions, trial, sentencing, and post-sentencing.

As a tenant attorney, Alice represented low-income people facing evictions or subsidy terminations. This experience provided insight into lease negotiations, analyzing landlord tenant laws, and working with different entities such as public housing authorities and nonprofits. Immediately prior to joining Pacifica, Alice worked as counsel for a technology startup company.

During law school, Alice served as a United Nations intern through a clerkship based in the Hague, Netherlands. She worked as a clerk in the Trial Chambers of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. While there, she helped draft portions of the Judgement in the case of Ratko Mladić.

In her free time, Alice enjoys spending time with her daughter, husband, and dog. They love to get outdoors as much as possible, whether it’s hiking, going to Alki beach, or to their favorite spot in West Seattle – Lincoln Park.
